The Harkom CM-W Packaging Machine With Multihead Weigher is designed for high-precision packaging of granular products. Its electronic weighing system is controlled independently through a microprocessor and dedicated touchscreen, allowing the target weight to be managed separately from the main packaging machine. All product-contact surfaces are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel, making the machine suitable for food-contact applications. The easy-change collar system allows faster package-format changes, while the adjustable speckle sensor provides precise package-length control. The machine continuously monitors printer errors and can automatically stop to prevent unprinted or incorrectly printed packages. Its servo-motor-driven film sliding unit, pneumatic horizontal jaw pressing and cutting system, controlled film tension and precise coil-centering system support consistent packaging operation. CM-W supports pillow and square-bottom packages and can handle products including grains, pasta, rice, pulses, nuts, seeds, confectionery and other granular products. Harkom specifies a production speed of up to 140 packages/minute for the published standard configuration.
